You know what holds the equivalent value of 4600 words? A new grandbaby.
A long, long day with a wonderful happy ending. I completely forgot about the fictional world in favor of the real one today. (One of the MANY perks of being a full time writer.)

Mother and child are doing very well. Both are starving. Both are beautiful.

Tomorrow's goal is to write my 4000 words while babysitting three year old twins. It's not just my goal, though. It is what I WILL do, even if I have to finish up after they are in bed and unconscious.

Chef's Challenge

The Chef's Challenge is to create the most amazing, phenomenal (okay, so they don't have to be so phenomenal) word count possible every day until the end of the year. My personal goal is 20k per week. That will win me 400,000 words by January 1, 2014. I know it is doable. I'm going to prove it's doable. And I'm going to show you how I work 4 thousand new words into my schedule every day to get that 20 thousand per week.

I'm a full time writer /publisher/marketer/mom of five with only an autistic child left at home/woman who is also going to lose fifty pounds by January 1st. If I was a smoker, I'd quit smoking now too, since the busiest person is always the person that gets the most done.

So. Join me. Rise to your own challenges while I rise to mine. And like the guy on Hell's Kitchen said tonight, "I'm here to kill myself and kill myself again." Whatever it takes. That's why they call it Hell.
